Year 4 Graduation Ceremony 2021

Pastor Jeremy Ong opened the dedication ceremony, followed by a speech by Mr Chris Hayward, our new Vice-Principal (Middle Division). He acknowledged the challenges the Year 4s faced during this pandemic. The tenor of the message resonated with the students as he encouraged them that  the work they had put in would be blessed. He further reminded them to take care of their well-being during this examination period.

A tribute was also put together by the 4th Student Affairs prefects, with photo montages of each Year 4 tutor group’s journey through their years in the school. Students reminisced, seeing photos from their various House activities and games, their celebrating school and class events, as well as photos of their Year 2 camp trip to Telunas in 2019.

These reflections were topped by dedications from teachers and students, who sent in their words of encouragement and thoughts via video. Our Principal, Mr Gavin Kinch, then closed the proceedings with words of advice and a prayer of blessing, letting the students know that the school will still be there to support them as they start a new chapter in their lives.

The students then adjourned to the canteen for the last time as a cohort, as they exchanged farewells and anticipated their journey into IB in the coming year. Indeed, the best is yet to be!
