Year 6 Leavers’ Week

For this year’s event (due to COVID-19 restrictions), the Student Council put together a pre-recorded video which was played over Zoom to each of the Year 6 tutor groups. The video featured an address from Mrs Tan Siew Hoon, Vice Principal (Senior Division), to the Year 6s, along with several video segments recorded by the Student Council. These included a “memories” video, consisting of a collection of photos of the graduating cohort. There was also a teachers’ section, in which teachers from various faculties wished the students good luck for their examinations.

The video also featured an award presentation for the IB learner profile awards, in which a certificate was awarded to the students who most exemplified each of the ten IB learner profile traits. These awards were voted by their teachers but the Student Council added a “fun awards” segment, where students were voted by their peers for the  different categories.

Overall, the Student Council, along with the Exco members, had a great time organising the event. We hope we had provided a memorable final experience for the Year 6s along with valuable keepsakes to remind them of their time in the school. We wish them well in their journey ahead and they will always hold a special place in the  ACS (International) community.
