We regard servant leadership and service to the community – local or international – as a fundamental part of the Christian faith. Service is at the core of the school’s mission and all students are expected to participate and contribute. Service is seen to impact positively on both the individual undertaking the service activity and the one receiving it.
Our students are able to participate in service activities throughout the year. Locally, to help raise funds for the needy in the community, each of the eight Houses conducts their own charity drive/donation projects. The Interact Club makes home visits weekly to deliver groceries and clean up needy homes in the vicinity of the school. As part of their CAS projects towards their IB Diploma, Year 5 students in pre-COVID-19 times frequently made overseas trips to Zimbabwe, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Nepal, India and Japan. There, they worked on construction and conservation projects, and assisted in classroom teaching, clean-up activities, and activities that provided support to the old and the very young.
