9 March 2018
On Friday 9 March 50 students and 5 staff made their way to the slopes of Verbier for a week in the Swiss Alps. Everyone was very excited to see the snow and the first day was spent building snowmen, having snowball fights and getting fitted with all the kit ready to ski. With 6 hours of skiing / snowboarding a day and apre ski activities there was never a dull moment. Students really enjoyed tasting a variety of Swiss food including; cheese fondue, raclette and Swiss rosti. Evening activities included; ice skating, swimming, a torchlit walk and lively competitions. All the instructors and supervisors were greatly appreciated by the students and made the week very enjoyable! Even the beginners were able to ski down sections of red runs by the end of the week. To conclude a fabulous week we all finished with an afternoon of shopping in the beautiful capital Bern. We hope to see as many students on the trip in 2019.
